What does former Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz think about the Yahoo board that summarily fired her? Going out in typical, feisty Bartz style, she minces no words: "The board was so spooked by being cast as the worst board in the country," she tells Fortune's Patricia Sellers. "Now they're trying to show that they're not the doofuses that they are." Her old pal, chairman Roy Bostock did the deed over the phone, reading from a prepared script. "Why don't you have the balls to tell me yourself?" she asked him after he was done, meaning in person. "I thought you were classier," she added.Source: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/rVYAkcZE7Qg/

After I end, I will return and highlight passages for reference following I encounter an problem. This guide about padio landscaping is truly inexpensive there?s no excuse for not studying it a minimum of 1 time! (At least I acquired the sensation this is how the ?masters? felt about patio landscaping photography.) I do really really feel this guide is ideal for somebody who has a minimum of a fundamental understanding of photography and maybe has had a photography class which has handled utilizing a guide digital camera, or even the guide option in your DSLR. Inside a nutshell, I truly suggest this manual to the 1 that is beyond the standard issues in photography and looks for much more. So, it is a great starting point. I can not say just how a lot I liked this book. Most of the subjects were review for me, nevertheless I by no means felt bored via the presentation. But he makes use of a medium-format movie or camera, and also the pictures be affected by it. Surprisingly the idea of the pure image can also be dispelled. I?ve got a completely new lens to savor because of this book. Nevertheless, to the reader the pictures are stunning though not intimidating simply because Fitzharris offers pictures that exemplify the idea about the page and consists of the camera utilized and all sorts of settings within a footnote close to the photos, the photos actually inspire the reader inside a ?yes, you are able to do this too? sense. Although it was not a required guide via the instructor who suggested it in my experience, it?s probably been most likely probably the most useful publications I?ve bought associated with landscape graphics.

Media release from the International Bar Association?s Human Rights Institute
High-level discussions on the urgent need for the establishment of a United Nations (UN) Commission of Inquiry (COI) into war crimes and crimes against humanity in Burma, will take place on September 6 in Brussels. The meeting is scheduled ahead of European Union (EU) representatives gathering at the Meeting of the Human Rights Working Group (COHOM) of the European Council to discuss, among other human rights issues, the UN General Assembly (UNGA) resolution on Burma for 2011, which must include a provision for a COI if its establishment is to be realised in the near future.
In the context of the widely-held view that such a COI could help reduce human rights abuses in Burma, the International Bar Association?s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) and the Open Society Foundations, organised the meeting to provide expert opinions on the establishment of a COI to those with responsibility for deciding the stipulations of the UNGA resolution on Burma; EU member states. To this end the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Burma, Tom?s Ojea Quintana; together with representatives from Burma Campaign UK; the Burma Lawyers? Council; the International Federation of Human Rights; and Human Rights Watch will brief EU diplomats.
The experts will summarise the current human rights situation in Burma, taking into account recent political developments there, and explain why a COI is the best way forward for deterring the commission of further crimes ? reported as murder, systematic rape, sexual violence, torture, the recruitment of children as soldiers, warrantless detention, widespread forced relocations and forced labour ? and ensuring justice for victims. The technicalities of such a COI, including the terms of reference, will also be discussed.
Dr Mark Ellis, Executive Director of the International Bar Association said, ?The Burmese people have suffered grave human rights violations for more than 20 years. The perpetrators act with immunity in an environment absent of action by the international community.? The United Nations General Assembly should act promptly and decisively to establish a UN commission of enquiry into human rights abuses in Burma.? He added, ?A transparent, impartial and independent UN commission of inquiry is an established tool for investigating allegations of international crimes committed by all parties to a conflict.? Establishing a commission for Burma would be a crucial and long overdue step in bringing accountability to Burma.?
Mr Quintana recently stated that, ?Justice and accountability measures, as well as measures to ensure access to the truth, are fundamental for Myanmar to face its past and current human rights challenges, and to move forward towards national reconciliation.?
The briefing will take place at the Open Society Institute ? Brussels, 9-13 Rue d?Idalie, B-1050 Brussels, between 12h00 and 13h30 (local time) under the Chatham House Rule.
The Speakers:
? Tom?s Ojea Quintana, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Burma, (via video-link);
? Neil Campbell, Head of EU Policy Development, Open Society Institute-Brussels;
? Mr Gregoire Thery, Permanent Representative to the European Union, International Federation of Human Rights;

My oldest son's birthday party is this upcoming weekend, so this week I am adding to the grocery budget to shop for the party. Fortunately I have been able to get some great deals on everything for the party, and despite going all out, I am doing so the frugal way.
I also stocked up on Birds Eye frozen vegetables, as they finally went on 50 percent off sale. One of my local Publix stores has had $0.35 Birds Eye coupons in the turnstile for a while, and every time I went shopping I grabbed a couple. It all added up to 23 Birds Eye coupons, and I made sure to use every single one, as they expire 9/30/11.

Fitness, Health & Exercise Question?
Go to the website www.gymamerica.com. This website will help you with diet and exersice. I hope this helps. Darrick CEO Valentine FitnessEat all kinds of food!
How can you build up body without food?
Do physical activity!
Enjoy your diet! ( *v* )One thing that would really help you is to eat more frequently through the day. When you go long periods without eating your body wants to hold on to the fat it has stored and not let it go. Then by the time you eat again you end up eating more because your body goes into starvation mode. Eating smaller meals more often will keep your metabolism going throughout the day and burn more calories.
I walk at least 4 times a week for about an hour at a quicker pace. I also bought The Transfirmer by The Firm which is a step style equipment you use with handweights. It has cardio and sculpting for your entire body. I have lost about 30 pounds and 2 pants sizes doing this so far! You can go to www.firmdirect.com for more info.
Good luck to you!
I am 28 years old and I want to be like how I used to be, fit and healthy, over the past few years I have let myself go a bit. I am 5?11 and around 17 stone, however to look at me I have no big belly etc, as I am quite solid, nice legs etc..
Anyways I want to get down to around 13 / 14 stone, I want to get back in my 32/32 jeans
Now I struggle with 36/32.
I bought a bike and some weights, and I have stopped smoking. At present I really dont eat a lot, I have bowl of breakfast in morning with banana and pint of water, and then that is me until dinner time where I try to have things with vegetables etc and peice of fruit for dessert.
What would be my best way to exercise, with the equipment I have, bike, walking, weights. Also what else, sit-ups etc, how do I start it all out, what I guess I am looking for is a routine that I can follow, and something that will really make me good, sweat hard etc, but also take in account I am out of shape.
Thanks

TARHOUNA, Libya ? Libyan rebels are poised to attack one of Moammar Gadhafi's remaining strongholds, but their military spokesman said Sunday he expected the town's tribal leaders to surrender rather than see their divided followers fight one another.
Rebels control most of Libya and are moving forward with setting up a new government, but they might hold off on declaring victory until Gadhafi is caught and his remaining strongholds are defeated. Gadhafi and his staunchest allies have been on the run since the fall of the capital late last month. Loyalists have entrenched themselves in several towns, including besieged Bani Walid, some 90 miles (140 kilometers) southeast of Tripoli.
Col. Ahmed Bani, the rebel's military spokesman based in Benghazi, said members of the tribe that dominates Bani Walid, the Warfala, are divided over whether to join the rebels. He said the Warfala to surrender to avoid fighting among one another.
"They will give up at the end because they are cousins and they don't want to spill each other's blood," he said.
Bani added people in Bani Walid have told the rebels one of Gadhafi's sons, Seif al-Islam, had fled to Bani Walid soon after Tripoli fell, but left recently for fear townspeople would hand him over to the rebels.
Seif al-Islam Gadhafi once had been expected to succeed his father, and was indicted alongside him on international charges of crimes against humanity in their attempt to quash the rebellion that broke out in February. Last week, a man claiming to be Seif al-Islam Gadhafi made an appeal from hiding that was carried by a Syrian-based TV station, urging his father's supporters to keep up the fight against the rebels even if it means "we are going to die on our land."
Rebel officials have given conflicting statements on where they believe the elder Gadhafi is hiding. Bani Walid, Gadhafi's hometown of Sirte and the loyalist town of Sabha, deep in the Libyan desert, have been mentioned.
Rebels continued to put the pressure on Bani Walid, circling the town and saying they are ready to take it by force. Thousands of rebel fighters have converged on Bani Walid in recent days, with the closest forces about 10 miles (15 kilometers) from the town center.
"Negotiations are over, and we are waiting for orders" to attack, said Mohammed al-Fassi, a rebel commander at a staging area about 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Bani Walid. "We wanted to do this without bloodshed, but they took advantage of our timeline to protect themselves."
Al-Fassi said more Gadhafi loyalists have moved into Bani Walid from the south, but did not know how many.
The 1-million-strong Warfala make up one-sixth of Libya's population. Moammar Gadhafi said in an audio message last week that the Warfala would be among the tribes defending him to the death.
But Bani Walid also has a history of opposition to Gadhafi. Western diplomats in Libya and opposition leaders abroad reported in 1993 that the air force had put down an uprising by army units in Misrata and Bani Walid. They said many officers were executed and arrested.
